One day or day one, you decide

Are you still struggling to get started with pursuing your fitness goals? If so, let’s talk about it. Because it’s really up to you, one day or day one, you decide - quote by Paulo Coelho

Here are the three key ingredients that I believe you need to gain the confidence to pursue your fitness goals.

1. Courage

Sometimes taking that first step is the hardest. Well, it’s never too late to start something new and create. Think about all the times in your life when you have shown courage in difficult situations. You had the courage to recover from an illness or to make new friends at a new place. Now, you have to put that courage in treating your fitness like a serious part of your life.

2. Commitment

Commitment goes hand in hand with courage. By making the commitment to pursue your fitness goals, you’ll start to value them and balance other priorities in order to find more time for practice. Learn a new style of fitness and yoga . Overcome an obstacle. Stay focused. Hone your commitment and start thinking about how you want to bring change in your body with fitness.

The more you value the workout you are doing and stay true to this commitment to yourself. Nothing worth comes without dedication. Every action you take strengthens your dedication and builds momentum. Take a peek periodically at your workout.

3. Community

Find a fitness community to join. This is a game changer. I hear this over and over again. A community is critical when you need support and strategies to manage your overwhelming feelings. It provides encouragement to keep going. The right community supports you and shows you the amazing progress you are making in your journey. Learning in and with a community provides more than the knowledge itself.

Here’s a well known saying that will help you in achieving your goals.

काल करे सो आज कर, आज करे सो अब । पल में प्रलय होएगी, बहुरि करेगा कब ॥

It means whatever work a person has to do, they should complete on time. Know that the Kaal is right at your door, so we should not waste our precious time in laziness by postponing our goals. Our body is in control of our mind and if there is laziness on the mind, it makes the body lazy too.
